There are + groupe nominal pluriel.  ►there are two tables

ATTENTION ►

Lorsque suivi d'une énumération, c'est le 1er élément qui dictera le singulier ou le pluriel.

EX:

There is a boy, two girls and  a cat in this family.

There are two girls, a boy and a cat in this family.

There is a sofa and two armchairs.

There are two armchairs and a sofa.
